Blanca Rosa

Blanca Rosa, born in Beijing in 1994, is a versatile artist who obtained her BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and her foundation in Fine Arts from the Leith School of Art in Edinburgh. In addition to her full-time artistic pursuits, she works as a commercial designer and has taught at various art centers in Beijing, before recently relocating to Hongkong.

Her individual aesthetic and unique perspective are shaped by her cross-cultural upbringing. Blanca Rosa adeptly adapts materials to create artworks with delicate yet profound imagery, drawing inspiration from her experiences across different nations and cultures. Her art frequently challenges societal perceptions related to gender, ethnicity, and identity politics with a touch of humor. Based in Hong Kong, she explores these themes, creating vibrant, lively, and colorful paintings from her studio.
